Express Entry PNP-Specific Draws
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) - specific draws under the Express Entry system allow Canadian provinces and territories to select candidates for permanent residence based on their labor market needs. Each province sets its own eligibility criteria and selection categories for issuing invitations.
To qualify for these draws, candidates must first create an Express Entry profile and meet the requirements of one of the federal immigration programs, such as the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, or Canadian Experience Class. If a province identifies a candidate whose skills align with its needs, it may issue a provincial nomination.
Receiving a PNP nomination adds 600 points to a candidate's CRS score, significantly increasing their chances of receiving an ITA in the next Express Entry draw. Currently, draws are being held bi-weekly, and 80% of applications are processed within 6 to 8 months.
