Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have made further invitations to apply (ITAs) using the Express Entry system. The total number of ITAs made in a French language proficiency targeted draw was 6,500. To qualify, applicants must have had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 428. The step underlines Canada's dedication to attracting skilled professionals, specifically French-speaking candidates, to fill labor market needs and diversify the workforce.

Canada's fourth February 2025 Express Entry draw maintains the pattern of giving preference to the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. A total of 11,601 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) have been sent out so far this month.
Through the "In-Canada Focus" stream of the 2025-2027 Immigration Levels Plan, the IRCC is moving forward with its immigration goals for 2025–2026. Streamlining immigration for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applicants is the aim. Canada plans to welcome 82,890 new immigrants by 2025, focusing on retaining skilled workers in the labor force.
Note: Invitations to Apply (ITAs), that allow Express Entry candidates to file for permanent residence with IRCC, are not the same as landings, that are authorized settlements as permanent residents.
Express Entry serves as Canada’s primary framework for overseeing applications for permanent residency through economic immigration programs. This system operates a point-based system, wherein candidates are evaluated and ranked according to the comprehensive ranking system, taking into account various criteria such as age, educational background, professional experience, and language skills. The forthcoming Express Entry draw for Canada is anticipated to occur approximately on March 3, 2025, following the trend of previous draws that typically take place biweekly.
