Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued further Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates in the Express Entry pool.
A total of 4,500 candidates received ITAs in a draw focused on French language proficiency.
To be eligible, applicants needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 410 and had to have created an Express Entry profile by 7:47 AM Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) on February 11, 2025.
Today's draw marks the second one this month, following a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw conducted on March 3.

So far in 2025, Express Entry draws have primarily targeted candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and PNP categories, aligning with IRCC's commitment to prioritizing in-Canada applicants. A total of four PNP and three CEC draws have been held this year.
As of March 6, 2025, IRCC has conducted two category-specific Express Entry draws in 2025—both aimed at French-speaking candidates. Before this, on February 19, the department issued 6,500 ITAs to candidates proficient in French.
Additionally, IRCC has outlined its priority categories for 2025, introducing a new category for educational occupations. The priority categories for the year include:
French-language proficiency
Health and social services professions
Skilled trades
Teaching professions
