Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has announced the first healthcare Express Entry draw since July. A total of 3,000 applicants have received invitations to apply for Canada permanent residency with a Comprehensive Ranking score of 463.
This is the third draw of the week, following a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw that took place on 19 November and a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw that was held on 18 November.
In the previous week, a total of 1,933 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were granted to candidates from the CEC program, PNP candidates, and those demonstrating proficiency in the French language.

According to the latest Immigration Levels Plan released by IRCC, the federal immigration targets through the Express Entry system are projected to rise in the upcoming year. The immigration authorities aim to admit 124,680 Express Entry candidates to Canada in the upcoming years.
Furthermore, over 82,000 of these admissions will be allowed to an established category for Express Entry candidates in Canada known as the In-Canada Focus category. This category consist of candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) within the Express Entry pool, but it may also add individuals from the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-aligned Express Entry streams.

The previous draw was held on July 5, 2024, for healthcare occupations, resulting in 3,750 candidates receiving Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 445. Prior to this, draws for the Provincial Nominee Program and the Canada Experience Class had already been revealed.
